The Why & The Welcome

Founded im the forge of my own health crisis, I saw the gift of prayers at work. I shared prayers with those agents of healing and the response I got was stunning!

In early 2026, I was informed of my need for Triple Bypass Open-Heart Surgery.  My surgery went well and my weeklong stay at the hospital included lots of prayer for me and by me, including my praying for my nurses and other staff.

I thought I was done with the hospital for a while but my body reacted at post-surgery week 3 to all that "invasiveness".  I ended up back in the hospital and with more prayer, had 3 liters of fluid drained from my left lung!

My subsequent stay gave me opportunity for more prayers.

At the end of shift for a caring nurse I'll call "S", I offered to pray something I had written for her.  She obliged and as I held her hand, I poured out my prayer for her. As we said "Amen", she and the other nurse made 2 life-changing statements for me. 'S' said, "Oh that was amazing! No one has ever prayed for me like that!."  The next shift's nurse was with her and she exclaimed, "That was so powerful. I want you to ray for me like that at the end of my shift."

I knew something special was happening and I wanted to document this moment.  Along with preparing and praying for my new nurse, "M", I also began getting a vision for how i could be a conduit for prayer to these amazing agents of love and healing. I wanted o be able to give them a place to access their prayer and find more to encourage them in the future.  After all, they had regularly been the answer to so many prayers for healing and comfort.
